It's stopped raining but the sky remains gray and the wind still lingers. I feel groggy, wondering what time it is. Impulsively I reach into my jacket pocket, trying to find my phone, but realize I had left it in my car alongside my wallet. All I have here are the clothes on my back—and the ring of course. I'm sweating so I remove Seth's jacket and my jacket, observing the room. It's impersonal and feels somewhat like a cheap hotel room though it smells nicer. The bedding is plain white just like the curtains pulled back from the window; the dresser, closet doors, and bedside tables are painted black, and the stained wooden walls have no pictures except for the one of a large monochrome forest above the bed.
