DAMIEN'S POV Richard agreed to see us on Friday. Julian and I took the same flight to New York on Thursday evening. We didn't talk much on the plane, which was fine. The conversation we needed to have wasn't the one between us. We both knew what we were walking into the next day and we spent the flight with that knowledge quietly between us.
