Bruce sighed as he hung up the phone. He couldn’t believe Larissa showed up like that, while Herald and his team were still busy. It was going to be hard to explain to her what her boss was doing at his house at that hour. She wasn’t supposed to know that they knew each other like that – that be would drop everything and come to his rescue.
Bruce sighed. The secret he was keeping from her were becoming many. He didn’t mind lying to Larissa in order to get her back. But this – the stalker business. He didn’t like the fact that he had to lie to her about that, because she had to be able to protect herself. Bruce guessed he had to do that himself…he had to protect her.
