You can do this, Larissa told herself as she smiled at Bruce. He held her close and guided her around the paparazzi who were determined to get their best picture. Where did all these people come from? she asked herself, tightening her hold on Bruce. He felt like her lifeline in a sea of sharks.
They continued all the way to a secluded table that offered relief from the chaos they walked into. Bruce helped her to a chair at the table. And he sat down opposite her. Larissa stared at him. And he looked up at her. The intensity in his eyes hit her like a freight train. Larissa gasped and looked away as tingles ran up her spine.
