Bruce said the words while holding on to Larissa’s hand. He knew he couldn’t make that promise to her, because he wasn’t sure everything would ever fall into place. So far, everything they wanted to achieve as a couple hasn’t happened yet. And he wasn’t sure if things would ever go back to how they used to be. Larissa might never remember him, and with the way she was fighting the process, he wasn’t sure if she ever would.
He let go of her hands and focused on driving. He sighed, knowing he couldn’t give up so easily. But he will fight for her after he made sure that she was safe. Alexei and the stalker should be their main focus now.
