Good things take time

Alpha Azeo

Alpha Azeo has no idea why McKenna had a change of heart or why she kissed him but he sure as hell will not complain.

It was the hottest kiss that he has ever experienced with any she wolf. And the fact that it was with his mate made it even better. But it all ended as soon as it started. She left Alpha Azeo all hot and bothered as she quickly apologized and then ran to her room.

' It can be the Blood shifter full moon coming up. ' Alpha Azeo's wolf says to him. ' Yeah it can be , we have read about it. ' Alpha Azeo says. ' Then her first shift is coming up , you know she won't be able to do it on her own. ' Alpha Azeo's wolf says with concern. ' We will keep a close eye on her , but we will also keep our distance until she really needs our help. She obviously want to do this on her own , if she wanted assistance then she would have mentioned the shift. ' Alpha Azeo says in an emotionless tone.

Night time came and Alpha Azeo hears McKenna's door open. She's clearly trying to sneak out without anyone detecting it. Luckily we know more about the Blood shifter than what we lead on otherwise she would have succeeded.

Alpha Azeo stays in his room , just keeping an eye on McKenna from his bedroom window. ' You have to follow her! ' Alpha Azeo's wolf growls. ' No! We will respect her wish of trying the shift on her own. She clearly thought this through because the area that she picked is perfect. My guess is she's trying to get to the waterfall so that the water can drown out any noises that she might make. We will hear her because we know where she is. ' Alpha Azeo replies.

Alpha Azeo just watches McKenna patiently as she suddenly falls to the ground. ' It's started. She's already in pain! Go to her! Alpha Azeo's wolf growls , irritated that Alpha Azeo is so calm. ' Not yet , look , she is crawling , the pain can't be that bad. We will go to her as soon as we hear a scream. Otherwise we will let her shift on her own. ' Alpha Azeo replies as calm and composed as always.

Alpha Azeo tries to focus his hearing in only McKenna's direction. He can hear and distinguish that her bones started to break and that they are trying to shift in to place. He thinks back to his first shift , is was awful. Their first shift had to be in front of all the pack members and you were punished if you showed any signs of weakness. They were all punished but his punishment was the harshest since he was the son of the Alpha. It's impossible to not show weakness , being female or male , it didn't matter. It's something that you cannot prepare for.

Alpha Azeo has a lot more respect and admiration for McKenna. Just for the mere fact that she has been holding on for so long without making any noticeable notices.

McKenna truly is stronger than what anyone gave her credit for.
