♥ Lance ♥ The pharmacy was bright and loud in the late afternoon. Lights hummed, shelves stood in neat rows, and the steady beep of the till came from the front. I liked that sound. It meant things were working. As a manager, this was my space to keep in line. I had studied too long and worked too hard to treat it like anything less than important. I stood behind the dispensary counter with a clipboard in my hand. Boxes of medication are lined up on the shelves behind me in strict order.
