'Can we please go visit them now?' Michelle said in an exacerbated voice. She had kept nagging me ever since they arrived, and she desperately wanted to see the children. That was two hours ago, and there were two hours of her constant nagging, but she won't wear me down on this.
'No, give them time to settle in. They have only been here a few hours,' I replied. The reports I have been receiving suggest that leaving Pam and her family alone for a few days would be best. I am just as eager as Michelle but do not want to push Pam away. I have a feeling if we tried too hard too soon, she would pack up and leave, and I cannot risk that happening. I will have to put up with Michelle bugging me for days, and I need to think of a distraction.
