The attack came quicker than I expected. Only a few minutes into the mansion I was forced into giving the three howl signal for the warriors to attack and pressure the rogues out of the building. Nobody knows that the Beta and I are in the mansion yet. Those who knew are now motionless on the cold wooden floors behind us.
Jessica's scent is faint. Charles definitely masked her scent but just because he can't smell it doesn't mean I can't. As an Alpha and her mate I can smell Jess much stronger. The Beta and I make our way across the mazes of the mansion. Each hall has doors both left and right and no doubt whoever built this place had more money than he needed.
