Sophie blinks in shock, and I simply smirk and shrug.
“I just miss my girl,” I say, standing up to my feet. “That’s all,”
Sophie’s lips curve into a smile and her cheeks blush rosy pink. I stride over to her, keeping my gaze locked on her eyes. She’s not moving away, so I take it as a good sign. I stop at an arm’s length away, studying her body language. Standing this close to her, her scent envelopes my senses and my blood starts to race.
