: : : Sophie : : : Dinner was awkward, to say the least. Back in my room after dinner, I lie on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, trying to make sense of the tangle of emotions swirling inside me. No one at dinner spoke much, and the tension was thick enough to cut with a butter knife. Kieran barely said a word, and I could tell he was purposefully holding back his thoughts.
