I hold my breath as I feel the energy shift inside the room. I don’t know how Jayden is doing this, but whatever it is, it’s working. Ever so slightly, I see Sophie moving a finger. I almost lost it right then and there, but I keep my composure. I still stand back, watching everything unfold.
And then it happens. Her eyes open!
“Sophie!” Jayden calls.
“Angel!” I say at the same time.
Sophie’s eyes flutter open and my heart drops. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to see this. My mouth spreads into a smile, but before I can say a word, I heard a thought.
