I closed my eyes and listened to the heavy sound of his breathing. The memory of him falling from the top floor was still fresh in my head and I never wanted to see something like that again. I knew now that he was the man that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with despite what he'd done to me in the past. There was this strong pull and I couldn't escape from it.
