"Okay, Rosslyn, there is nothing wrong with you. It must just be stress. Take it easy," the nurse tells me. Too late. I had already overheard the other nurse say that they ran all kinds of tests on me, and even brought a healer because they couldn't figure out what happened to me.
Apparently the healer told them what I felt was the pain caused by a cheating mate. No-one here knows that I have super hearing and heard everything. I don't have my werewolf yet, but ever since I was little, mom has trained me to really hear everything. She always said in a pack like ours, women need to be strong, because we don't count on anyone but ourselves. She was right. The nurses whispered, saying that my mate knows I exist and that is why I am feeling things already.
