CHAPTER 30
SKYLAR
I was woken up by the sound of a door slamming. I groggily got up as Blair buried her face on her pillow, "that b*tch!" As she yelled into her pillow, my eyes widened.
Blair sat down and looked at me, "I went to talk to Elder Monique and she said the majority of the council had voted in favor of my request until Elda presented a case against it. She practically brainwashed the council and after that, they voted against me leaving."
"Can she do that? Can she change a council's rule?" I asked bewildered.
Blair sighed, "she isn't supposed to but I guess her arguments were too good to let go. Now I'm stuck here for the rest of my life." Blair, the strongest, toughest girl I knew covered her face with her hands and began to cry.
