Sera’s POV The private gym was buried in the sub-level of the building...his personal sanctuary, all black rubber flooring, mirrored walls, and the low metallic clank of iron meeting iron. No one else had the keycard. No one else was supposed to be here. I slipped in anyway. He didn’t notice me at first. Cassian was shirtless, sweat gleaming down the deep ridges of his back, every massive muscle shifting and contracting as he deadlifted a barbell loaded heavier than most men would dare. The cords in his forearms stood out like steel cables. His shoulders bunched, traps rising like mountains, and when he exhaled on the lockout, the sound was low, primal, almost a growl.
