Sera’s POV The drive home from the airport felt like floating through someone else’s dream. Aria sat in her booster seat in the back, legs swinging, chattering nonstop about the clouds she’d seen from the plane window, about how the flight attendant gave her extra cookies, about how she’d drawn a picture of all three of us holding hands under a rainbow.
