Cassian's pov The backyard's beautiful decor stares in front of me.... Sun’s low, turning the grass gold at the edges. Aria’s barefoot, chasing the bubbles I’m blowing from the cheap plastic wand she begged for at the dollar store last week. Her laugh is loud and adorable...high-pitched shrieks every time a bubble pops against her nose or her outstretched fingers. She’s wearing the too-big tie-dye shirt she “borrowed” from Sera’s drawer, sleeves flapping like wings. I’m sitting cross-legged on the ever green grass and flowers blowing slowly. They move steady like streams so the bubbles float high and catch the light before they burst.
