The heat between us had been almost unbearable, the pressure building so intensely that I could barely think. The sensation of Theodore’s hands on me, his lips trailing over my skin, had sent shockwaves through my body. I was on the verge, teetering at the edge of release when suddenly—he stopped.
I barely noticed it at first, lost in the haze of desire, but when the warmth of his touch disappeared and my body was left hanging, desperate and breathless, I opened my eyes.
