Russ and I have been helping Courtney and Ryder at the bakery ever since we moved back here, but now that we're on our own with it, I'm suddenly finding out just how maddening it is. We agreed to run things until they were settled in with the new baby. They need the time together and we need the experience since we'll be taking over a business of our own in less than a week.
While we aren't taking specialty cake orders until Ryder returns, just keeping up with the every day items like cookies, brownies, and other goodies, is completely exhausting. Russ and I have been at each other's throats for the past week, mostly because of the workload, but also because his parents have got him so worked up, he's on edge all the time.
