I was checking the perimeter with Dane when my phone rang.
Jax.
"Yeah?" I answered.
"We got a problem."
My blood went cold. "What happened?"
"Carter's guys tried to grab Beth. We got there in time. She's okay."
"Where was she?"
"School parking lot. She'd just picked up Mason when we pulled up. Two Iron Wolves were trying to force her into a van."
"Is she okay? Is Mason okay?"
"They're both fine. Shaken up but fine. Leo's with them now. We're bringing them in."
"Where are you?"
"Five minutes out."
"Get here. Now."
I hung up. Looked at Dane.
"Carter made his move," I said.
"What happened?"
"Tried to grab Beth at her son's school. She got away."
Dane's face went hard. "Is she okay?"
"Yeah. But we need to get everyone inside. Now."
