It’s around eight when I send my latest document and shut my computer off. I’ve been working for six hours straight, and my eyes are tired from staring at a screen. I don’t particularly enjoy my work, but until I find my muse again, this is all I have. In the last years, I’ve started many different projects, tried numerous things, but never finished anything. Journalism. Teaching English to new immigrants. Cooking school. Bartending. Physical fitness. Boxing. I even thought of joining the army or police force. I trained dogs for a while on this remote farmland for a friend of mine, but dogs don’t respond very well to drunken litanies in the middle of the night.
