I walked back to my office, but my thoughts went to Thalia. I need to be with her, but I know I have to see Astrid. She has been helping our crackdown on the whole Elder Archie problem.
I open my door and find Astrid staring out the window.
I closed the door behind me and stared at her.
I knew we had a meeting coming up, but I wondered why she was here.
“Alpha Jace,” Astrid says as she turns around to look at me. She was wearing an oversized coat, which was slightly weird.
She smiles, “I know you may be wondering why I'm here, but I needed to see you as I have information you need to know about, and I know it needed to be done in person,” she says.
I stare at her; Rolf comes closer and looks at her.
Something is off here, but I don’t know what.
