I left the house in a hurry, not even mentioning to Ariana that I was leaving. I needed to go to the packhouse to find that damn file.
I walked straight into the packhouse, but I didn’t make that far as Charles came up to me.
“Frank, “ he says in a gruff voice.
I stopped in my tracks in front of him.
I haven’t got time for all this; I needed to get out of the pack lands.
“What do you think about all these newcomers here,” he says, “They are all human. Why hasn’t the young alpha told us what he is up to?”
I stare at him, “I have no clue, I have asked him many times about this, but he keeps brushing it off,” I say. I know I only asked him once, but the old fool doesn’t know that.
Charles starts to talk, but I don’t listen; I can’t help but look to the side of him.
