AUSTIN I watched as my sister walked away with her father. I hope they reconcile as it has been many years in the making, even though Jackson caused all this and my mother. Jackson was in a bad place when he came into our lives. He was always drinking heavily, but one day he vanished, leaving Brooke in the care of my mother. I always cared about Brooke and tried to fight her corner, but my mother would beat me even if I went anywhere near her. I did little things to help her, such as helping her read and giving her something to write.
