“You are what?” I asked Kayne. I could be having some hearing defects because what he just said didn’t make sense to me and I knew that Kayne was still with his faculties intact so the fault might be mine.
“It sounded like he was saying that he was leaving you.” My father offered as if he was being helpful.
I turned my glare on him. “What are you still doing here? Are you not supposed to have returned to your own house?”
“I am supposed to move into here. What do you think happen to elderly parents once their children mate? They move into the homes of the closest mated pair…”
“Elderly refer to sixty and above, you are not even up to fifty!” I argued.
“Don’t tell me when I am going to feel elderly, young lady.” He returned.
“I cannot handle this right now.” Yura sighed
