"Caspar, Silverstar Springs is under attack," Avery blurts out.
Caspar tenses at his father's words, "What?"
"Abel called me because he couldn't get a hold of you. They have been under attack for hours. He didn't give any other details," Avery explains.
I can sense Caspar's anger and other emotions as his father speaks.
"We have already mobilized the Elite Squad to assist you," My father adds.
"We have to get home," Caspar blurts out. He turns to me, "Nova, I want you to stay here."
My heart drops, "But Caspar- "
"Please, I would feel infinitely better if you were here and safe. When I know it's safe, I'll send for you," He explains.
I take a deep breath and nod, "Okay." I would rather go to Silverstar Springs and defend my home, but I know I am not ready.
