Sleep over

I squeezed their hands back, unable to hide the shiver that ran through me. Being this close to them, feeling their warmth and the gentle pressure of their palms, was intoxicating. My heartbeat thundered in my chest, and I realized I didn’t want to be anywhere else. Just like them, I couldn’t stand being apart. Jason leaned slightly closer, his eyes darkening with something primal and protective. “You know, Anna… we’ve missed you too,” he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over the back of my hand. There was a hunger in his gaze, but also a tenderness that made my chest ache. Leon rested his chin lightly near my shoulder, his voice soft but steady. “You make it easy to want you, Anna. But we’ll never rush you. Not ever. We just… need you near.” I swallowed hard, feeling heat rise to my cheeks. The honesty in their words, the quiet intensity in the way they watched me, made my stomach flutter. “I… I don’t think I’ve ever felt anything like this before,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper. “Being near you… it’s overwhelming. But in the best way.” Jason gave a small, satisfied smile, leaning his forehead briefly against mine. Leon mirrored the movement, closing the small distance between us even more. The world outside the room seemed to vanish—the chatter, the sunlight through the window, even the ticking of the clock faded into nothing. There was only us. Only this moment. I realized then that no matter how much I had imagined being close to them, nothing could have prepared me for the reality. My chest tightened with longing, and I had to remind myself to breathe. Their presence was magnetic, comforting, and electrifying all at once. “Anna,” Leon whispered, his voice a low rumble that made my knees weak, “we’ll always be here. Every step. Every moment. Just… let us in.” The weight of their words lingered in the air, wrapping around me like a blanket I didn’t know I needed. My chest tightened with something warm, something that made me feel both fragile and strong at the same time. Leon’s thumb brushed along the edge of my jaw, a touch so careful it almost undid me. His gaze searched mine, as if he was trying to memorize every flicker of emotion. “Stay tonight,” he whispered, softer this time. “Not because we need it—but because we know you do, too.” Jason’s grip on my hand tightened slightly, his wolf so close to the surface that I could feel the faint tremor in his body. His eyes, stormy and burning, softened when they met mine. “You have no idea how hard it is not to just… keep you here,” he admitted, his voice hoarse. “Every instinct in me screams that you belong by our side. But I swear, Anna—we’ll never take more than you give.” The sincerity in his tone left me breathless. They weren’t just alphas, they weren’t just my mates—they were men who held back their very nature for me. For my pace. For my comfort. That knowledge cracked something open inside me. I pressed my lips together, fighting the swirl of nerves and longing tangling in my chest. My life had always been about control, about walls and distance. Yet with them… every barrier felt like it was already crumbling. “I don’t want to go home,” I whispered before I could stop myself. Both of them froze. Leon’s breath caught audibly, while Jason let out a low growl that was more relief than frustration. “Say that again,” Jason murmured, as if he needed to hear it twice to believe it. Heat rushed to my cheeks, but I met their eyes, steady this time. “I want to stay. With you. Tonight.” Jason burried his nose in my hair, making me shiver. Slowly he retreated and gave me free. For a heartbeat, silence stretched—thick, heavy, and full of everything we hadn’t yet said. Then Leon exhaled shakily, pulling me against his chest as if he’d been holding his breath for a lifetime. Jason’s hand came to rest at the small of my back, warm and grounding. “You don’t know what this means to us,” Leon murmured into my hair. “I think I do,” I whispered back, my pulse racing. Because I could feel it. The bond humming stronger, the threads between us pulling tighter, weaving something unbreakable. Jason’s lips brushed my temple, his voice low and rough. “Then tonight, you’re ours. Not all of you, at least not yet—” his fingers traced a slow line down my arm, sending shivers through me—“but in every other way that matters.” And as I leaned into them, my heart thrumming with equal parts fear and joy, I realized I had already made my choice. I was theirs.
