Third Person POV – Leon & Jason
Leon and Jason had been in the city all morning, hunting down everything they would need for Sunday night. Every store they visited, every item they bought, brought them closer to the moment they’d finally have their mate in their arms again—the one who would be their Luna.
Jason emerged from a boutique carrying a sleek pair of heels, his grin widening as he spotted Leon.
“Shoes?” Leon asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Of course, shoes,” Jason replied, smirking. “I have a thing for women in heels—especially my mate. Not that you’re innocent—you got her jewelry, didn’t you? Classic move.”
Leon smirked knowingly, glancing at the watch on his wrist while thinking about the delicate earrings and ring he had chosen for Anna. “Jewelry never fails. Got everything?”
“Yeah,” Jason laughed. “Who would’ve thought Anna would be our mate? No wonder we didn’t find her sooner—she was gone for five years.”
Leon’s jaw flexed as he rubbed his chin. “Yeah… if she had stayed and become Gamma back then, we’d have had her years ago. Maybe even our first pups.” The thought of a future with Anna made a sly grin tug at his lips. He had always liked her—and always found her breathtaking.
“What do you think tomorrow night will be like?” Jason asked, his tone a mix of eagerness and anxiety.
“When she arrives, she’ll be welcomed and brought to us,” Leon said, voice calm but commanding. “Then everyone else will step back. I’ve already told our parents they’ll dine out. Once she’s with us… she’ll know we are her mates.” Leon had planned every detail, every eventuality, down to the smallest gesture.
“When do you think she’ll move in?” Jason asked, voice low and almost pleading.
“If it were up to me, she’d move in immediately,” Leon said, eyes glinting mischievously. “We’ll see tomorrow. Then we finalize the Luna ceremony.”
Jason’s frown deepened. “Did you read Anna’s file yesterday?”
“Of course. Did you?” Leon asked. He had compiled every scrap of information he could find about her.
“Yes… but some parts were censored,” Jason replied skeptically.
“I noticed that too,” Leon said, voice dropping. “Someothing about the incident with Norah. That’s probably why she never became our Gamma.”
Jason’s grin widened, though slightly guilty. “But the report did mention she had no boyfriend at university.”
Leon chuckled. “I wonder why she waited. She was top of her class, brilliant even back in school. Two years younger than us, yet she’d taken classes with our year. And we barely spoke… despite her potential as our Gamma.”
“Yeah… we were idiots,” Jason admitted. “She was younger, and we were too busy basking in the attention of every female in the pack. We ignored her, except for official events. I hope she can forgive us.”
A hush fell over them for a moment, both reflecting on their younger arrogance.
Then Leon’s head shot up. He inhaled sharply. The scent hit him—Anna. Roses, jasmine, and something uniquely her. Even Jason’s wolf stirred violently, aware of her presence across the street.
But she wasn’t alone. Her arm linked with another man’s, though their hands didn’t touch. The mere closeness was enough to ignite the twins’ protective instincts. Their hearts thudded in unison.
Leon and Jason saw it immediately. The casual touch, the way Anna held this man's Arm—it was too much. Their hearts clenched, their wolves roaring in frustration and possessiveness.
Jason’s growl was low and guttural, vibrating through the air, warning and threatening all at once. Every muscle in his body tensed. How dare he? the wolf seemed to say. Our mate belongs to us, and no one else.
Leon’s jaw tightened. He felt an unfamiliar ache of protectiveness and anger coiling in his chest, hot and electric. His gaze locked on the man, sharp and predatory, daring him to make another move. You do not touch her, he thought, not now, not ever.
The twins moved in tandem, each step deliberate and powerful. Jason’s hand flexed at his side, while Leon’s eyes never left Anna, tracing every reaction, every small gesture. They didn’t just see a hand on their mate—they felt it, like a violation of their bond, a trespass that ignited every instinct in their wolves.
Anna, still unaware of the full intensity of their reaction, instinctively clutched the man’s arm tighter, seeking comfort. But to Leon and Jason, it was too much. The sight made their stomachs twist, a mix of rage and longing that could not be ignored.
She laughed, radiant and carefree, unaware of the storm approaching. And then—her eyes found them. The mate-bond flared like a live wire, invisible but undeniable. Leon saw a flash of emotion: joy, calm, excitement… and fear.
Fear? Leon’s chest tightened. She couldn’t be afraid—they were her mates. They would never harm her, in body or soul.
Anna’s grip on the man tightened instinctively, and that triggered Jason’s wolf. He growled, low and threatening, stepping toward them with predatory precision.
Leon followed, long strides eating the distance between them, gaze locked on his beautiful mate, every nerve alive with anticipation and protective instinct.
“You dare to touch our mate?” Jason’s growl rumbled across the street, vibrating in the air between them.
Anna froze, fear evident once more. Leon’s chest clenched at the sight, though Jason was too consumed with anger at the man beside her to notice anything else.
The city street seemed to shrink around them. Every passerby faded into insignificance as the bond pulsed stronger, drawing them together. Anna’s wolf stirred, hesitant but curious, recognizing its counterparts instantly.
Leon and Jason exchanged a glance, almost imperceptible, and then in perfect unison, they slowed their steps. This wasn’t about dominance—it was about claiming, protecting, and finally connecting with the mate they had waited for all these years.
The tension between them crackled like electricity, full of emotion, instinct, and an unspoken promise: We’ve found each other. Finally. And nothing can take this away.
Her laugh, her presence, even her momentary fear—it all intensified the pull between them. And as she looked at them fully, their mate-bond syncing like a heartbeat, both Alphas and Anna knew: tomorrow would change everything.
