Erin heard a loud thud that forced her eyes to open. A room covered with darkness envelops her whole being and she suddenly becomes conscious about her surroundings. She heard some rustling sounds of sheets and she looked nervously on her side, eyes widening to see a little girl sleeping under the blanket.
She walked towards the bed to see more of the girl's face but she jumped in her place to hear another loud thud coming downstairs. When she looked back, she saw the little girl with her eyes fluttering open. She was taken aback and didn’t know what to say.
