Chapter 17

1433 Words

Marsai: I had spent only a few hours in my room before deciding to sleep. I didn’t know why I’d acted so terribly toward the triplets earlier. My wolf had scolded me endlessly, reminding me that they were just trying to protect me because I was their mate. Even when I was called to dinner, I declined. My appetite was nowhere to be found, and I couldn’t stomach the thought of facing anyone. Deciding to end the day and try again tomorrow, I headed to the shower. But even the hot, flowing water couldn’t wash away the dirty thoughts that had crept into my mind. No matter how hard I tried, they lingered and teased me. I shook my head to clear them, turned off the shower, and wrapped myself in a towel that barely reached halfway down my thighs. With a sigh, I stepped out of the bathroom.
