Chapter 25“Interested in a Loto-Quebec ticket?” The man behind the counter was punching in the last of Henley’s things. The older man was the owner of the closest quick-stop store, and Henley enjoyed his rough manner and dry humor. His name tag read Mo. “Big winnings tonight, son. Twenty million. A man can buy himself a whole lot of ‘leave me alone’ with that kind of money.” “I hear you.” Henley smiled and grabbed his two full bags. “How’s Big Mace doing?” Surprised, Henley didn’t quite know what to say. So people knew he was staying with Mason? Mo scoffed and lifted his prickly chin to the window of the small, cluttered store. “That’s his truck, now ain’t it?” Right. He’d forgotten he’d been driving Mason’s truck around town in the last two days, getting supplies for the weeks ahead.
