During the next couple of days after Zoe notified me about the loss of one of our allies, two more packs decided to do the same. I was aware of the possibility that outsiders wouldn’t take the news about my unusual mate lightly, but I didn’t expect the rumors to spread so fast. At least, none of them officially turned us into enemies, which allowed me more time to think.
Merging packs was always a delicate process - it didn’t help that Mariners Moon wasn’t your ordinary pack either. A lot of members were already dissatisfied with having an Alpha female, and the tension only grew when Fintan moved here. Even if everyone here had willingly accepted me, it was only natural for questions to come up while they were still adjusting to their new lives. They had friends and family in other packs
