“Lilly…” I trailed off as I joined her in the kitchen.
“You are still not talking to me,” I stated the obvious, leaning against the kitchen counter with my arms wound around my body.
“Fine,” she placed the sliced onion back on the chopping board before turning around to meet my gaze. Her stare was slightly teary but that was what always happened every time she chopped onions.
