LANA’S POV
I waited for Nick to walk back in after his argument with Lily and after a few minutes, he walked in with his shoulders slumped and a look of defeat in his eyes. He gave a start on noticing me seating on the couch and out of impulse he rushed towards me panic stricken.
“You didn’t hear a word I said to Lily, did you?”
“You mean the part where you claimed to love me and hoped I could love you back with the same intensity? Well played Nick. It could have fooled me too,” I grinned. He was a better actor than I had given him credit for.
