EPILOGUE
LANA’S POV
I looked at Andrew standing some safe paces away from the hospital bed I was lying on as the doctor whispered something to him. I had spent the entire night under heavy sedation. Then he nodded and began walking my way, a crestfallen look on his face and all my hopes crumbled. I looked away, scared to hear the most horrifying truth of my life.
“I lost my baby, didn’t I?” I asked without looking at him.
I felt the side of the hospital bed dip as he sat down. Silent tears fell off my eyes as he clasped my palms in his.
“Our baby is alive Lana,” He whispered.
I turned to look to look at Andrew and he was smiling down at me.
“Really?”
“Yes. The bullet did not even touch the amniotic sac. It just grazed the side of your waist,”
