I wake up in the middle of the night with a startle, I try to sit up as gently as possible and take a deep breath. I realize I must have had a nightmare and I try to recall what it's about but my memory fails, I can't seem to remember anything from the dream and I instantly conclude that it couldn't have been a nightmare about Zephyr.
I've never forgotten a nightmare about Zephyr no matter how hard I try so it seems that since I can't recall this one, it definitely couldn't have been of Zephyr and thus, not worth my worry.
I shiver slightly as the wind blows through my open curtains, instantly making the room chilly. I must have forgotten to close the windows again. I pick up an extra blanket and wrap it around my body until I'm feeling snug again.
