It's already the next morning and I'm just about to leave. Kayden is too as well and though it's a bittersweet moment that almost leads me to tears, I just have to control myself. This isn't the first time I've had to tell him goodbye before he left for a journey but somehow, this hits different and I can't even tell the emotions spiralling within me.
"Evelyn, you're pregnant, remember? Please relax." Tara cautioned and I took a deep breath. Of course, I'm pregnant so this might be my pregnancy hormones flying all over the place and causing me to feel sad for no reason.
Speaking of which, since I had been able to convince Kayden to let me go, we had both decided that we wouldn't tell anyone till I got back because if I announced the news, there's no way Ana and Elsie would let me go.
