I was lying on the couch, playing a video game, when the door flew open, prompting me to stand up because who was there appeared as a surprise.

I didn't expect to see her here—it's late for her to be visiting at this time. We all know it's under her house rules.

"Jas?" I muttered, amazed by the surprise visit.
