With introductions over with, the group of us began a game of volleyball on the beach. Liam and Ty hadn’t returned yet but I was sure they would be back still. Unfortunately for all of us, Alana and Jesse had been placed on the same team, and rather than playing, Alana’s attention was focused solely on Jesse.
The ball flew out of play and Emily ran after it to retrieve it. I turned my attention back to Jesse, unsure what to do when Alana walked over to Jesse and put her hand on his arm, giving him a flirtatious smile. Jesse looked at her curiously as if he were unsure how to react.
