Charlene was about to line up for checking-in when her phone buzzed once more. It was Damien.
‘Max is coming to talk to you.’
Her eyes gaped wide after reading the message. “How the f*ck did he know?” she puzzlingly asked herself. Heaving a deep sigh, Charlene picked up her stuff and followed the queue line. Soon after, her phone rang once more. It was Max.
“No,” she mumbled before turning off her phone. She once more looked at the flight board to double-check her lane when the status changed from check-in to cancel.
