The signal is given, and Erick and Joshua watch as Eduarda and Lila enter the part of the forest designated for the jungle fight. Their hearts tighten at the sight of the women in their lives going into battle without them. Not that the two are fragile; in fact, both possess extraordinary powers. Lila, in addition to having all the strength and speed of a vampire, can also see the future, especially when it involves her, making it extremely difficult to catch her off guard. And Eduarda literally burned people with her hands.
But knowing that if something went wrong they wouldn't be there to protect the two of them was driving them crazy.
Meanwhile, in the forest, Betany pulls Trevan so they can follow Eduarda and Lila at a safe distance, but without losing sight of them.
