Naledi walked into the silent room behind Sello. He held the door open for her and waited until she was standing in the middle of the room, before he shut the door and found his own seat in one of the empty chairs in the room. The chairs were arranged in rows that faced the chair the chief sat in. The room was used for meetings with the chief advisors. Naledi didn’t usually work in that part of the house, so she was surprised to see how open and breezy it was with the huge sliding doors that opened into the garden at the back of the house. She could feel eyes on her, as the people in the room focused on her. She hated being a spectacle, but it seemed right then she had no choice in the matter.
