The evening had wound down to a lazy night of conversation and a nice view of the skyline Naledi wasn’t going to forget any time soon. She was glad she had agreed to go out. Even though she was still undecided about Len, she had so much fun. And for a minute she had forgotten who she was – the maid who had left home because the people of her village didn’t want her around. On that rooftop she was just Naledi, a simple girl from a village who had a bright future ahead of her. And she couldn’t wait to embark on that future. She was due to start her new job at the hotel on Monday. Since it was Friday, she still had a couple of days to while away. Maybe she’ll take up Len on his offer of seeing the sites. But one thing excited her the most in that moment – her new job at the hotel. Monday
