I got out of the shower and looked for one of my suits to go to the office. I have clothes here in case I decided to stay out, like last night. After work, I would go look for Elizabeth. I needed to know she was okay after the failed dinner. I didn't want anything to affect her pregnancy or her.
I finished fixing the cufflinks on my suit and went down to the dining room, where my parents were already.
"Good morning," I said, kissing my mother's hair and greeting my father.
"Good morning, son," they responded at the same time.
"What happened last night? You disappeared as soon as we arrived," my father said, leaving the newspaper aside on the table.
I had to talk to them about everything that was happening with Elizabeth. I couldn't allow any more misunderstandings.
