I arrived home exhausted. After greeting my parents, we went to the table.
"How did it go, daughter?" my mother asked, staring at me.
"Okay, Mom. I'm just tired." I felt my eyes heavy.
We had lunch together.
I went up to my room after talking to them a little more, settled into bed, and quickly fell asleep.
I woke up when evening had fallen, and my phone seemed to vibrate on the nightstand.
I opened and closed my eyes a couple of times as I finished waking up. The phone vibrated again, and I picked it up. I looked at it with half-closed eyes. It was Alany. I pressed "answer" as I settled on my back in bed.
"Hello," I said in a hoarse voice.
"Sleeping Beauty," Alany said.
