Prologue: Rose Was The Name

218 Words
Rose. Rose was the name, and doom was the meaning. Ethan Young was a wolfless pack warrior – as ruthless and ferocious as they come. He had a reputation. And she was here to ruin the reputation it would seem. His wolf never even stirred since Annabelle, his fated mate, rejected him for the one she called the love of her life, a vampire whose name he doesn’t even want to recall. But then again, he should have known better, vampires stick to their own. He sure was a bitter wolfless warrior who induged in women, only to discard them before morning, once the deed was done. Rose wasn’t even a woman. Or maybe she had all the assets of a woman without being of age yet. Nah! He could not even begin to think of her as a woman. As luck would have it, she was set on making sure he knew both his and her worth, on breaking all his walls and barging in, in his life and heart. He, on the other hand, was set on resisting. How could he not? She was barely 18, and he was an adult, 28 years old. But the tale shall prove that love definitely has its ways. Ways that were magical, and admittedly, a total mystery to him.
