It's too hot. Way too hot. I'm burning up again, but I don't want to open my eyes.
I'm so exhausted.
I just want to sleep more.
A whimper left my lips as tears sprung from my eyes. I don't have the energy to hold them back. I don't even have the energy to open them. I just want this to go away.
Too hot.
Too overwhelming.
Too much.
Suddenly, I felt relief wrap around my mid-section. A small sigh tumbled out of me as that relief spread through my body. Something cool pressed against my back, and peace finally melted over me.
"You move around too much in your sleep," a deep voice grunted in my ear.
Am I dreaming?
"Apparently, I have to be touching you at all times during your heat cycles," he said.
