Hours turned into days as the search for Thalassa intensified. Every lead we had seemed to turn into a dead end. My frustration grew with each passing moment, knowing that the longer she was gone, the harder it would be to find her.
"Alpha Matteo, our best trackers have scoured every inch of our territory and beyond. They've tried to follow her scent, but it continues for some meters outside our pack's borders and then abruptly disappears," Kade said.
The news hit me like a punch to the gut. "Disappears? How is that possible?"
Kade shook his head. "It's as if she vanished into thin air. We can't trace her beyond that point."
