I shook my head "No, it doesn't matter" I said decisively but he looked upset. "But now you'll always be sad on your birthday," he said. "But I'll always remember her," I said quietly. Logan grabbed a tie and began to put it over his head and tie it. His jacket was on the desk chair and I grabbed it, holding it out to him, eager to help. He smiled and thanked me, putting it on. He looked handsome. My father came up the hallway and stood in the doorway. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked as though he hadn't had a good night's sleep in a good long while.
